NEW RELEASES:
-Cameron Latimer's "Fallen Apart" will be available August 26th in Canada and August 19th in the USA. Check out his artist page for samples!
-Steve Dawson's "Telescope" is due for release September 9th in Canada and September 16th in the USA. Stay tuned for details.
-Black Hen will be releasing a tribute album to the 1930's blues band The Mississippi Sheiks later this year. Produced by our very own Steve Dawson, this highly touted disk will feature mainly acclaimed artists such as Ry Cooder, Bruce Cockburn, Bill Frisell, Kelly Joe Phelps, John Hammond, and more. Check back regularly for more information leading up to this exciting project!

EXPANDED DISTRIBUTION:

As of July 1st, 2008, Black Hen will be starting a new distribution partnership with Fontana North in Canada. Distributed by Universal Music Canada, Fontana North is a very well established Canadian distributor and both parties are very excited to bring Black Hen Music to more Canadian ears!

Black Hen started off 2008 by sealing a new deal with Burnside Distribution which will allow for Black Hen releases to be available in the USA. Look for us at your favourite record store down there and look forward to more BH artists touring in the US!!

Black Hen Music is pleased to announce a new distribution deal with Rounder Europe, which will see Black Hen releases distributed throughout Europe and the UK. The first two releases will be Jim Byrnes’ Juno winner, “House of Refuge” and a double CD comprising Jenny Whiteley’s two most recent releases, “Dear” and the Juno-winning “Hopetown”.
