An Honest Effort is the new album from Canadian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Matt Patershuk, but it was recorded in Nashville. The album title sounds like modest self-praise but refers to the content of the songs where the characters struggle against the odds. The articulate self-penned songs cover diverse subjects and are accompanied with superb musical input from top musicians including multi-talented Fats Kaplin and harmony vocals from Keri Latimer. The album can more accurately be described as a superb effort.
